Do you want to have a positive and uplifted week? Yes! Me, too! Then, try the following with me.
Meditate on the Lord’s Prayer.
2. Give us this day our daily bread: Slow down and have dinner (full meal) with your family at least 3 mornings or nights this week. Talk and enjoy each other. What’s the hurry, anyway?
3. Forgive: Forgive Our Trespasses as We Also Forgive Those Who Trespass Against Us– Remember Matthew 18:21-22 “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times should I forgive my brother who has sinned against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.”
- Also- be aware of your effect on others–it’s also about seeking forgiveness for how you may have hurt someone else. Don’t be afraid to ask for forgiveness.
4: Let God Lead: If God’s in control, he will help you prioritize. You will not be tempted by things that keep you from his will for your life. Pray each morning and write your goals for the day. Does it include time with God, spouse, children, or other hobbies that edify and build your mind and spirit?
5: Our Power Stems from God, Not from Man: It’s important to remember that our power doesn’t come from our own actions, but God’s power working through us. As humans (flesh and bone) our power is limited and wanting–never satisfied–always searching. In God, we are vessels for his power which is mighty and strong! His power works for the good of man, not of self. In this way, greatness is achieved. Remember to seek your power from God alone.
We are not meant to live a life of condemnation, sadness, or regrets. We are blessed by God to be a blessing for others, and to be an example of God’s word every day!
I’m excited for the week ahead, and in Christ I know I will exceed my own expectations.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week of awesome!!
